Anti-Foamer

Because foam in the process tank can lead to surface defects and burning,, Sanford Process uses a proprietary Anti-Foamer sulfuric electrolyte additive. Such defects occur when the foam allows for electrical conduction directly between the anode and the cathode. Most electrolyte additives in sulfuric electrolytes may cause foam generation because of their material characteristics.  When added to the electrolyte tank, Sanford Process Corporation’s Anti-Foamer dramatically suppresses the build up of such foam. Consequently, the addition of the Anti-Foamer allows the operation of the anodizing bath with the electrolyte additives without burning and thus achieve high temperatures and current densities resulting in less anodizing time and increased production output.

Our Anti-Foamer’s unique formulation does not affect coating properties.
